AWS Cost Optimization Hub centralizes recommendations from AWS Compute Optimizer and Cost Explorer into a single view. unusd.cloud surfaces these recommendations alongside your existing findings.

Implementation Effort: Varies - Each recommendation includes its own effort estimate depending on the action type.

Prerequisites

Cost Optimization Hub must be explicitly opted in on your AWS account before unusd.cloud can retrieve recommendations:

  1. Open the AWS Cost Management Console
  2. Navigate to Cost Optimization Hub and click Opt in
  3. Recommendations begin appearing within 24-48 hours

If Cost Optimization Hub is not opted in, unusd.cloud will silently skip this check.

What You Get

Each recommendation includes resource identification, action type (rightsize, stop, upgrade, migrate, purchase commitments), estimated monthly savings, and implementation effort. Findings appear in the Analytics dashboard under the Cost Optimization category.
